Terms: Freelance contract initial period February to June 2025
(with scope to extend or transition to permanent full-time role)
Hours: 20 hours per week ideally Monday-Friday but will consider weekend hours.
Salary: £20 p/h
Reports to: Executive Producer
Location: Remote working with some attendance at Kindred Partners office W1 for meetings / co-working as required.
BACKGROUND
The Capital Theatre, a permanent new theatre venue, will open in West London in October 2025 with the record-breaking Dirty Dancing - The Classic Story on Stage as its inaugural production. The theatre is operated by Adam Kenwright and his company Kindred Partners in partnership with Karl Sydow.
Dirty Dancing – The Classic Story on Stage, is a world-renowned production that has a track record of more than a decade's sold-out seasons in London and throughout the country.
The brand new purpose-built 620 seat venue is set over 35,000 square feet, taking over the southwest corner at Westfield London in Shepherd’s Bush. The auditorium is to be designed and built by the architect and design team behind The Bridge Theatre, @sohoplace, The Young Vic and the recent transformation of the Playhouse Theatre into the Kit Kat Club. The intimate flexible auditorium will deliver a premium experience where every seat offers a fantastic view, and no customer will be more than 9 rows from the performance stage area. The venue will accommodate rehearsal rooms, backstage facilities including offices, dressing rooms, creative and technical facilities, a foyer café and an onsite box office and merchandise store.
ABOUT THIS ROLE
We are seeking a freelance Ticketing Manager with Spektrix experience to support us with the development of our ticketing set up, CRM process, sales reporting and customer service management. This contract has scope to develop into the full time Sales & Ticketing Manager role for the Capital Theatre and our inaugural production later in 2025. (Full job spec available on request).
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES
Ticketing Operations:
- Manage the set-up of events and instances in Spektrix along with ongoing system development.
- Manage the CRM system ensuring customers are registered and logged appropriately.
- Manage customer requests via the Capital Theatre email inbox including access patrons and group bookings.
- Implement and manage gift voucher scheme.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of venue and website FAQ’s.
Revenue management:
- Develop tailored suite of Spektrix and internal sales reports to support the requirements of the Executive producing team.
- Oversee ongoing operational updates to TickX performance marketing platform
- Manage the relationships and processes with external sales channels, ticket agents and distribution partners.
- Assist with the setup of API access and allocations to external sales partners including financial management and invoicing.
- Contribute to delivery of Dot Digital CRM communications.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
- Background and considerable experience in Ticketing within a venue or Ticket sales agency.
- Knowledge of Spektrix ticketing system to a high level.
- Knowledge of TickX (or similar) performance marketing platform would be beneficial.
- Relationships with and experience managing external ticketing agencies
- Competent knowledge of excel and/or other reporting tools
- Experience in customer service and communications.
- Excellent organisation, administrative skills and strong attention to detail.
- Articulate, clear communicator who is proactive in their approach to the work.
